The achievable ranges for different infrared illuminators are given below. The ranges shown indicate the maximum usable range of a single lamp with a high performance camera and a 850nm illuminator. The figures given are for reference only. Distances achievable in practice will depend on a combination of camera, lens and infrared illuminator.
All the illuminators, with the exception of the Raymax 25, feature .
All the illuminators are available as 950nm options.
The use of an 950nm illuminator will decrease the range by approximately 45%.
The use of two units will increase the maximum achievable range by approximately 40%. [See .]
For a Graphical Representation of Achievable Distance, see .
Covert Versions (950nm) of all Raytec Infrared Illuminators are available. To order the covert versions above models add the suffix "-C" to the product code. The use of IR at 950nm could result in a 40% decrease in achievable distance compared to IR at 850nm.
