REG Wedge is the complete solution for consistent, reliable number plate capture. The unit combines the latest camera, optics, illumination and filter technology to provide clear images of number plates in both daytime and night time conditions at distances of up to 18 metres (60ft). The unit is a low profile, vandal resistant wedge housing, specifically designed applications such as underground car parks and garages.
This unique combination of camera and infrared technology solves the problems normally associated with accurate number plate capture. REG Wedge overcomes all issues related to speed, daytime highlights and reflectivity of number plates, accurate daytime and nighttime focusing and car headlights.
REG Wedge is a fully integrated system that captures number plates 24 hours per day, whatever the weather conditions. Camera, lamp and a special power supply unit ensure maximum ease of installation and immediate results. Low maintenance and excellent reliability are assured with REG Wedge delivering average illuminator life exceeding 5 years.

REG Wedge has been designed to work on a stand-alone basis or in combination with Digital Video Servers, VCR or Digital Recorders and Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) software.
