REG-D1, featuring DHC-Imaging Technology, represents the next generation of number plate capture from Derwent.
REG-D1 combines the latest in advanced optics, electronics, Infrared Illumination and ambient rejection technology for consistent, reliable contrast number plate capture under adverse conditions. An integrated colour camera captures an overview of the scene.
REG-D1 has an operation range up to 25m (82ft) and delivers high-contrast images across the complete spectrum of ambient lighting conditions from total darkness to direct glare from sunlight and headlights. A high-speed optical synchronisation system captures number plates from vehicles moving at speed, up to 100mph (160kph), enabling effective capture on motorways and other high-speed applications.
Housed in a weather sealed unit for successful application in extreme environments, REG-D1 employs a high efficiency Metaphase LED array with an average life expectancy of more than 5 years and can be operated from any 12V to 24V DC/AC power source.
REG-D1 has been designed to work on a stand-alone basis or in combination with Digital Video Servers, VCR or Digital Recorders and Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) software.
