Axis 223M Network Camera
The Axis 223M Day & Night Network Camera is a high performance camera for demanding round-the-clock surveillance over IP networks. With a 2.0 Megapixel progressive scan CCD image sensor the Axis 223M has the ability to provide high quality images under all lighting conditions at resolutions up to 1600 x 1200 pixels.

The Axis 223M features an automatic, removable infrared-cut filter, which enables the camera to provide colour video when there is sufficient light, and black and white video in dark conditions. [see Day and Night Functionality]. The Axis 223M offers simultaneous Motion JPEG and advanced MPEG-4 video streams to optimise image quality and bandwidth efficiency.

Integrated features include video motion detection, pre- and post-alarm buffering of 200 images in full 1600 x 1200 resolution, and inputs/outputs for connecting external devices such as door sensors and relays to activate light or close doors.

Additionally, the product offers a complete set of security features such as multi-level password protection, IP address filtering and HTTPS encryption. The support for HTTPS provides a secure channel between camera and application and enables authentication of the video source. The Axis 223M suports Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) in addition to version 4.

The Axis 223M fully supports the Power Over Ethernet IEEE 802.3af standard and works with compliant mid-spans and switches. Power supply to the camera can be guaranteed by use of an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS).

MPEG-4 is licensed technology. The network camera includes one viewing client license only.
