The two-way audio support, including the option of using a built-in microphone enables remote users not only to view, but also to listen in on an area and communicate orders or requests to visitors or intruders. The audio alarm detection enables the Axis 216FD-V to give an alarm at a configurable audio detection level.
Built-in support for Power over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af) enables camera power to be delivered via the network, eliminating the need for a power outlet and thereby reducing installation costs. The Axis 225FD-V fully supports the IEEE 802.3af standard and works with compliant mid-spans and switches. Power supply to the camera can be guaranteed by use of an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS).
